5 days Tour – Bologna

The Tour starts in the Airport of your arrival. We will welcome you on board of our comfortable 56 seats Iveco Magelys bus. First stop at the Hotel in  Bologna or nearby, to drop off luggage and relax after the long trip. It may be possible to have a quick visit of the city during the night, before overnight stay.

Second day visiting Bologna. The main sites are the Two Towers: the Asinelli Tower and the Garisenda Tower. Both of them leaning, and they are the symbol of Bologna and the most prominent of the Towers of Bologna. Piazza Maggiore is the central square in Bologna. The appearance in the 21st century, generally reflects the layout from the 15th century. In the afternoon visit to the Archiginnasio of Bologna, one of the most important buildings in the city of Bologna, site of the first University in the world. After that you can visit the Old Market, “Il Quadrilatero“, where antiquity and modernity perfectly blend together.

On the third day, bus transfer towards Modena and visit of Modena Cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral and important Romanesque building in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with the Civic Tower and the Piazza Grande. Visit to Luciano Pavarotti Museum or Enzo Ferrari Museum. Back to Bologna by bus.

On the fourth day, bus transfer towards Ravenna and visit of the Basilica of San Vitale, one of the most important surviving examples of early Christian Byzantine art and architecture in Europe. It is, together with the Mausoleum of Theoderic and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the afternoon transfer to Comacchio, “The little Venice”, and visit of the canals and the old town centre. Transfer to hotel in Ferrara or nearby.

On the fifth day, transfer to Ferrara and visit of the old town centre, listed as UNESCO World Heritage, and of The Castello Estense, is a moated medieval castle in the center of Ferrara. It consists of a large block with four corner towers. In the afternoon visit to a famous factory of Parmigiano Reggiano, typical cheese of this area. In the evening bus transfer to Bologna or nearby.

Depending on the flight departure time, possibility to go for an extra excursion in Parma to see the main sites of the city or to have some time to relax or go shopping. Then, bus transfer to the Airport for the return flight.
