5 Days Tour – Cagliari

The Tour starts in the Airport/Port of your arrival. We will welcome you on board of our comfortable 56 seats Iveco Magelys bus. First stop at the Hotel in Cagliari or nearby, to drop off luggage and relax after the long trip. It may be possible to have a quick visit of the city during the night, before overnight stay.

Spend the second day discovering the fabulous city of Cagliari, the great beauty of Sardinia. You will admire the natural beauties of the city: the Poetto beach, the Devil Saddle and the two ponds of Molentargius and Santa Gilla, rich of animal and vegetal species. In the afternoon visit the city centre: the streets of Castello, an historical quarter of the ancient Karalis. Discover the Cathedral of St. Mary and St. Cecil, the majestic bastions of Saint Remy and Saint Cross that will gift you with breath-taking views. Visit the Elephant and St. Pancrazio’s towers and the National Archaeological Museum which hosts numerous nuragic evidences. Bus transfer and overnight stay at the hotel.

On the third day, bus transfer towards Barumini for a trip into the mystery and history of Sardinia. Visit the biggest nuragic complex of the island, called “Su Nuraxi“. Later, arrive at Serri, a suggestive town in the plateau that split Sardinia from the Sarcidano to the Campidano that offers enchanting landscapes. In the afternoon visit the suggestive Nuragic village of St. Victoria, one of the most important religious centres in Sardinia. In the evening return to Cagliari on your reserved bus.

On the fourth day, proceed your journey to St. Antioco, a small island connected to Sardinia by an isthmus. Visit St. Antioco, a colourful and lively town, rich of marvellous beaches and an extended archaeological area where you will admire the Phoenician Tophet, an area that in ancient times was reserved for babies burial. Also you can visit the Hypogeum Village and the Punic necropolis, a place that recalls the ancient history of Sardinia. Carry on to Nora and travel along the coastal road that gives you enchanting panoramas on the West coast, with its crystalline sea and the and beautiful shades typical of this part of Sardinia. Later, bus transfer to the Archaeological Site of Nora, the most ancient city of Sardinia, located in a postcard scenery, at the far end of Pula’s promontory, admire the rests of the ancient Phoenician-Punic-Roman roads, the enchanting mosaics, the thermal baths, the Tanit Temple, goddess of fertility.  Also you will find the only example of Roman theatre in Sardinia, a magic place, still used today for plays and shows. In the evening, return to Cagliari by bus and overnight stay at the Hotel.

Depending on the flight departure time, possibility to go for an extra excursion in Cagliari, to have some free time or visit some other sights of the city. After the visit bus transfer to the Airport/Port.
